Panel System to Ensure Representation by Specialist Criminal Lawyers

Specialist Criminal Lawyers

In  “The Bulletin” published by the Law Society of the South Australia, the President states the following in relation to specialist criminal lawyers.

Whilst no practitioner should be discouraged from undertaking criminal law, there should be an appreciation that it is an area of specialist practice.’

This was behind the decision of the Law Society of SA in 2014 to establish a panel system for lawyers seeking to receive work from the Legal Services Commission.  The concern was that some practitioners were undertaking criminal law work outside of their expertise.

It is intended that this panel system will be extended to address the same issue in other areas of law.

As specialist criminal lawyers in Adelaide, Williams Barristers and Solicitors have representation on both the General  Panel and the Complex Criminal Panel.  Andrew Williams as Principal of the practice is on the Complex Criminal Panel as both solicitor and counsel based on his experience and expertise in criminal law matters including undertaking trials.

In bringing your criminal matter to Williams Barristers and Solicitors you can be assured that your advice and defense will be managed by specialist criminal lawyers with expertise and experience in all aspects of criminal law.

You can expect the team to commit to achieving the best outcome for you.  You can also expect that advice will be considered, direct and clear.  There will be no surprises and you will have the information to make sound decisions for your future.
